REFUND & RETURN POLICY

This policy applies to orders placed through stylish.be and stylish.luxury. It is governed by Belgian and EU consumer law and does not limit any mandatory rights you have as a consumer. For the full statutory procedure and general terms, see our Right of Withdrawal & Terms.


1. WHO THIS POLICY APPLIES TO

- Consumers (private individuals) benefit from the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases.
- Business customers (B2B) — see the B2B clause below.

B2B — ALL SALES ARE FINAL
Business customers, professional buyers, resellers, and any order placed with a company name or VAT number or for professional use have NO right of withdrawal, NO right of return, exchange or cancellation, and NO right to a refund. All B2B orders are final and binding once confirmed — for standard and custom / made-to-order items alike — and the full purchase price remains due in all circumstances. The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to business transactions. The only remedy available to a business customer is the limited manufacturing-defect warranty set out in section 8 (B2B: maximum 6 months from delivery, limited to manufacturing defects, with all return and redelivery costs borne by the buyer, and liability capped at the purchase price). Any goodwill return is entirely at our sole discretion, only under separately agreed written conditions, and may be subject to a deduction of up to the full price of the item.


2. NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS

Custom, made-to-order and personalised products are non-refundable.

Stylish works largely on an order basis — many pieces are produced or specially ordered from our manufacturers once you order. The right of withdrawal does NOT apply to goods made or ordered to your specifications, including upholstered furniture, custom / made-to-measure items, custom dimensions, fabrics, finishes, colours or configurations, and any product personalised or produced to your request. For these products, all sales are final once the order is confirmed. Sealed items unsuitable for return for hygiene reasons (e.g. mattresses) are also excluded once unsealed.


3. YOUR 14-DAY RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

For standard products bought online, you may cancel your purchase without giving a reason within 14 days of receiving your order. This period starts the day after you receive the product. To exercise it, you must submit a written withdrawal statement using the form on our Right of Withdrawal page; a verbal request is not accepted. Do not ship anything before you receive our written confirmation, return address and reference.


4. CONDITIONS FOR AN ACCEPTED RETURN

A return is accepted only once ALL of the following are met. Returns that do not fully comply may be refused, or accepted only subject to a deduction for the loss in value.

- Returned in its complete, undamaged original packaging, with all inner protective materials. For our largely handmade furniture this packaging is essential to protect the item and preserve its resale condition.
- Completely unused, unassembled and undamaged — no wear, marks, scratches, stains, odours (smoke, perfume) or pet hair.
- All accessories, parts, manuals, labels and protective materials included.
- Handled only to the extent necessary to assess the product, as you would be allowed to in a physical shop.
- Accompanied by valid proof of purchase and the return authorization (reference) we issue in advance.
- Clear photos of the item and packaging submitted with your request.


5. DIMINISHED VALUE & DEDUCTIONS

We reserve the right to deduct from your refund an amount reflecting the loss in value — up to the full price of the item — where the returned goods are assembled or used, marked, scratched, stained or soiled, carry odours or pet hair, are missing any parts, accessories, manuals or protective materials, or are returned without their complete, undamaged original packaging. The deduction is assessed by us at our reasonable discretion, based on the item's resulting resale value, and may equal the full purchase price where the item can no longer be sold as new.


6. RETURN PROCEDURE & COSTS

- Request first, in writing. We then confirm your return and send you the return delivery address, reference and instructions. Unannounced returns, freight-collect and cash-on-delivery shipments are refused.
- Return within 14 days of notifying us, in the original packaging, to the address we provide.
- You bear the direct cost and risk of return. Furniture and bulky items must be professionally packed and, where applicable, palletized, and sent by an insured, trackable service. Risk remains with you until the goods are received AND checked at our warehouse.
- Non-compliant returns may be refused and returned at your cost, or refunded only after deduction of the loss in value.


7. REFUNDS

- Once your return arrives, we inspect it thoroughly. Only when everything has arrived unused, undamaged, complete and correct in its original packaging are you entitled to a refund.
- We refund the price of the returned product(s) plus the original standard outbound delivery cost. Supplements for upgraded delivery are not refundable, and return shipping is never refunded.
- Refunds are issued within 14 days of our receipt of the returned goods. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods, or until you provide proof of return, whichever is earlier.
- Refunds are made to the same payment method used for the order. No fee is charged for the refund itself. Any diminished-value deduction is applied to the refund amount.


8. DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE OR NON-CONFORMING ITEMS

Independently of the right of withdrawal, you benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity (2 years) for consumer goods.

- Inspect your delivery immediately. Visible damage or shortages must be noted on the delivery document (CMR) at the moment of delivery.
- Hidden damage or defects must be reported in writing, with photographs, within 48 hours of delivery.
- For a justified conformity claim we arrange repair, replacement or refund in accordance with the law, at no return cost to you.

Most of our products are handmade. Minor variations in colour, finish, grain or dimensions are inherent and are not defects. Normal wear and tear, and damage from improper use, accidents, pets, cleaning agents or exposure to heat, moisture or sunlight, are excluded from the guarantee.
